Electrical Repairs In Cardiff

Small Jobs Taken On & Done Properly

We take on the work that sits on a list for months because it is too small for most firms to bother with. Every repair is tested before we leave, and we find out why something failed rather than replacing the part and moving on, because a socket that has burnt out usually had a reason.

Our electrical repair services include:

Nothing is too small to book in, and you will not be charged a minimum for us to travel across the city.

Something Needs Repairing?

One dead socket or a full remedial list, no job is too big or too small for our electricians.

Electrical Repairs Across Cardiff & Nearby

Cardiff based, so a small repair is a short visit rather than a minimum charge to travel.

We take repair work across the whole city and out into the Vale.

A lot of it comes from landlords and letting agents who need something sorted without arranging it themselves, and small jobs are welcome wherever you are.

Remedial Work After An Inspection

Clearing C1 & C2 Items

If you have had an inspection and been handed a report full of codes, the useful next step is knowing which items you are obliged to act on and which are advice. C1 and C2 have to be dealt with. C3 does not.

We price remedial work off a report, whoever produced it, and you are under no obligation to have used us for the inspection. Plenty of the remedial work we do comes off reports issued by other firms, and we will tell you if we think something has been coded harshly.

Once the work is done, the installation can be signed off as satisfactory, and you get updated certification. For rented property in Wales, that matters, because the five-yearly inspection duty is not met by a report that says unsatisfactory.

Where the report is pointing at an installation that is genuinely past repair, we will say that too rather than quote for patching it.

Landlord & Commercial Repairs

Tenants, Premises & Managed Property

Repair work for landlords and agents is mostly about logistics rather than electrics. Getting access, dealing with the tenant, and reporting back so you know what was done without having been there.

We arrange access directly with tenants, attend, and come back to you with what we found and what we did. Invoicing to the landlord, agent or managing company is straightforward, and we can hold a running record across a portfolio so you are not reconstructing it at the end of the year.

For commercial premises, we work around trading hours. A shop or office rarely wants an electrician in the middle of the day, and most repairs can be done first thing, at close, or at a weekend.

When repeated repairs are called in on the same circuits, it usually means the installation needs proper testing rather than another patch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our Electrical Repair FAQs

Will you come out for one small job?

Yes. A single socket or light is exactly the kind of work that sits undone for months because nobody will take it, and we are happy to book it in.

What do electrical repairs cost?

Every repair is different, so we look or ask questions first. The time involved, access, whether parts are needed and how much testing the work requires all change it.

Can you do remedial work from another electrician’s report?

Yes, and we do it regularly. You are under no obligation to have used us for the inspection, and we will tell you if something looks harshly coded.

Do you give a certificate for repairs?

Where the work requires it, yes. Smaller alterations get a Minor Works Certificate, and anything more substantial gets an Electrical Installation Certificate.
